everyone saying that cities or even whole neighborhoods should be *vehicle free* has never been disabled. on crutches or a wheelchair with COPD, in your 30s, decades away from retirement how would *you* get to: work, groceries/shop? no bus, no taxi, no shuttle?

@AZebress exactly! we're often forced to our limit and stretched thin just making the basic commute+errands as is! as if, by removing streets and transportation i could *better* get to my doctors in the next county, or the job over 10 miles away.
