We could have saved many lives if: - we treated the virus as airborne until proven otherwise -we focused on getting *everyone* better masks from the very start -we utilized rapid antigen tests as a public health tool rather than a medical diagnostic /1 #covid19
-we focused on ventilation nearly as much as we did on wiping down surfaces for months -we treated our “essential” workers as “essential” human beings who needed protection, not just recognition -we communicated with the public transparently & honestly about what we knew/didn’t
@AbraarKaran @jljcolorado It was evident very early on that there was a high probability this virus was airborne given its trajectory in Wuhan especially in comparison to SARS which infected only 8000 people worldwide over an 8 months period. For some reason PH was reluctant to consider this possibility
@AbraarKaran ... If we let people use certain drugs off-label to prevent and treat COVID when they're supported by unbiased science and regulatory authorities (which exist in other countries, but not as much here)
@AbraarKaran We absolutely could have saved more lives by implementing these measures. And it's not too late to save more. We still need better masks and rapid tests today to save more tomorrow. ♥️
@AbraarKaran @HemiHimalayan It's amazing to me how many people still don't grasp what airborne actually means. Go watch someone puff out an e-juice vaporizer on a cold day with a slight breeze. That shit goes EVERYWHERE = airborne. x.com/abraarkaran/st…

@AbraarKaran I have to update the chart to reflect PAPRs don’t offer source control but I created an easy to understand mask classification system that can be used for airborne or droplet transmission & helps people chose options with proper source control that also protects them too.

@AbraarKaran @lakeland31 Watch the movie "outbreak" then we will understand how it's transmitted
