Matt Eberflus on Justin Fields: "If he's ready to play, he's going to play ... The reason is, we're trying to win."
@AdamHoge @fred_huebner The most important things are Fields development and health. They didn’t build a team to win this year. They should have signed 2 good offensive linemen in the off season, regardless of the cap hit, but they didn’t. It is madness to play him with a shoulder injury.
@AdamHoge The whole press conference is “I’m not getting into it” “I’m not gonna answer that”
@AdamHoge I believe’Flus is sincere as Coaches and Players don’t quit, but Poles gutting the defense makes it a bit disingenuous to believe they’re “trying to win”. If we had the Defense we had could’ve beat Wash, hung on to the Mia & Det and Atl games at the very least.
@AdamHoge Thank you Flus! I never understood the narrative that they should shut JF down for the season. Bears fans are so terrified of losing their long sought after QB1 that they wanna wrap him in bubble wrap. He’s a football player not fine China. If he’s good to go, let the guy play.
@AdamHoge That's a coach who is putting his job before the future of the franchise. Unless the GM steps in that's a sign they are not all in on Fields which is sad.
@AdamHoge Yesss! Today I became an Eberflus fan. Screw tanking and resting players. Go win games!
