It bears repeating again and again... the filibuster isn't a part of the Constitution... but THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS.
@AlexPadilla4CA This sounds like something @Sen_JoeManchin and @SenatorSinema / @kyrstensinema need to hear.
@AlexPadilla4CA Serious question. What American at the age of 18 or older, and who is in good legal standing, doesn't have the right to vote?
@AlexPadilla4CA And Merrick Garland? You didn't email me back as I requested when I asked you to speak up on his apparent inaction on investigating Jan 6 ringleaders. And you'll ask me for a donation and a vote in November. Earn it, please.
@AlexPadilla4CA It's over Alex. Manchin & Sinema are not budging. Time for all House & Senators to message on saving democracy and helping candidates win more seats. All hands on deck.
@AlexPadilla4CA So is one person one vote. Dems don’t get multiple votes.
@AlexPadilla4CA Do we have to sue our own Senators who won’t protect our rights? Protect our voting rights under the Constitution and abide by your oath @SenatorSinema @Sen_JoeManchin
@AlexPadilla4CA It will be fascinating to see if you are still saying this, at this time next year, when Republicans have taken the Senate. You really want them to have a free hand?
@AlexPadilla4CA This is not about the Constitution for those seeking to suppress the vote. That is a bad faith cover for a naked power grab. It is a coup in a glove, but it is still a part of the ongoing coup attempt. And those who vote against the voting bill are wholly aware of that.
