It has been the greatest privilege to again serve the American people and President Biden alongside my tremendous colleagues at the Domestic Policy Council, the White House, and the agencies throughout the federal government. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

So, those are just *some* of the receipts. I am so proud of what this team has accomplished over the last 2.5 years. I look forward to cheering this group on as it continues to get stuff done on behalf of the American people.

We reunified more than 700 children separated from their parents by the previous Administration under its inhumane “zero-tolerance” policy and are working to prevent such a policy from ever being pursued again.

We have repaired and improved traditional pathways, like our refugee resettlement system; created streamlined new pathways to provide an immediate lifeline to those in need; and made our processing, security, and vetting systems more efficient.

We're extending health care coverage to DACA recipients—expected to expand coverage for 130,000 people Dreamers.

On Day One, President Biden rescinded the discriminatory bans on entry to the U.S. from majority-Muslim countries. This was a return to the highest values of our nation.

Our Task Force on New Americans is building on the American public’s generosity of spirit to provide legal immigrants and refugees the tools they need to thrive. That benefits all of us—New Americans, their communities, our economy, and our country.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans have stepped up to welcome them into their communities and homes, reflecting the best of who we are as a people.

As a result, over half a million Afghans, Ukrainians, Venezuelans, Haitians, Cubans, and others have been able to use *legal* pathways to find safety in our country.

Onto immigration. We have repaired and improved traditional pathways, like our refugee resettlement system; created streamlined new pathways to provide an immediate lifeline to those in need; and made our processing, security, and vetting systems more efficient.

We continue to affirm that we’re stronger when we unite against hatred than when we stand alone—from the historic United We Stand Summit last year, to yesterday’s release of the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.

He championed and signed the Respect for Marriage Act. And he is fighting back against hateful attacks on the LGBTQI+ community.

.@POTUSis the most pro-equality President in history. His historic Day One EO strengthened civil rights protections for LGBTQI+ Americans on housing, health care, family planning, education, criminal justice, employment programs, & more.

We’re relieving debt obligations for tens of thousands of farmers who have experienced economic struggles.

We’re replacing 100% of America’s lead pipes and service lines—because no one deserves what happened in Flint. We’re bringing high-speed, affordable internet to every community in the U.S. and already saving more than 16 million homes $30 per month.

Foundational to this work are @POTUS's 2 executive orders on racial justice and equity. Equity is now the business of the entire federal government. We’re also ensuring that the once-in-a-generation resources provided by his historic pieces of legislation are delivered equitably.

Next, we've taken a historic approach to advancing equity, racial justice, and support for communities that have been locked out of opportunity, including rural communities, communities of color, Tribal communities, LGBTQI+ people, people with disabilities, and women & girls.

Additional federal staff are on the ground in 36 rural and Tribal communities supporting their long-term visions for strong, local economies. That’s especially important as there are unprecedented federal resources on the table through @POTUS’s new pieces of legislation.

Next, I am so proud of our Rural Partners Network. Through RPN, we partner with rural people so they can better access federal resources to create local jobs, build infrastructure, and support long-term economic stability on their terms.

And, last year, we released a broad set of actions to reduce racial disparities in the housing market, including the most wide-ranging set of reforms ever put forward to advance equity in the home appraisal process.

Our Blueprint for a Renters Bill of Rights marked the first time the White House laid out principles of a fair rental market that protects tenants—plus, over 20 agency actions to advance those principles.

Ultimately, though, we want to end homelessness in the U.S. We set a bold of achievable goal of reducing homelessness by 25% by ’25—and we’re on our way. Our new ALL INside initiative is focused on ending unsheltered homelessness across the country.

We deployed over 11 million emergency rental assistance payments and pursued ambitious mortgage forbearance policies, helping millions of people remain housed during the pandemic. That is why homelessness remained flat between 2020 and 2022, rather than dramatically increasing.

Housing: A year ago, the President announced his Housing Supply Action Plan—the most comprehensive effort to close our housing supply shortfall in history. We’re leveraging once-in-a-generation resources and taking bold action to do just that.

At the end of the previous Administration, only 7,000 borrowers had been approved for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Since Oct. 2021, more than 615,000 borrowers have been approved for PSLF. ‘Nuff said.

Last year, the President announced his plan to provide up to $20k in debt relief to >40 million student loan borrowers. Nearly 90% of those relief dollars would go to borrowers earning <$75k/yr. We’re fighting for this relief before SCOTUS, even as Rs in Congress try to kill it.
