I join the Nation in mourning the passing of First Lady Rosalynn Carter. She was an incredible humanitarian and activist who epitomized service to others throughout her amazing life both inside and outside of politics. My heart is with President Carter and their family.

Nothing will ever truly be enough to repay the men and women for the lasting impact they have had on their communities and the good they have done for the State of New York and their country. Today we honor and praise them for all they’ve done. Happy Veterans Day!

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to @GovKathyHochul on the loss of her father.

Today’s planned rally is completely inappropriate in the wake of the terrorist attack by Hamas. We should never celebrate terrorism and hatred. Now is the time to strive for healing and peace.

We stand with the people of Israel as they face these horrific terrorist attacks. The loss of life is heartbreaking and we pray for all the victims of these attacks and pray for peace to prevail.

The indelible scars of that tragic event continue to affect countless families, first responders, and survivors, and our commitment to supporting the victims of 9/11 remains unwavering.

Honoring the memory of that fateful day, my heart remains heavy as we reflect on the profound loss of nearly 3,000 fellow Americans on September 11, 2001.

Happy Labor Day! Today we honor the achievements of the men and women in our labor force whose dedication and hard work have made this country great. It's also a day to recognize the values of fairness, justice, and opportunity that underpin our labor laws.

These decisive measures create strong incentives for employers to adopt better pay practices. We recognize the power of our voices, and as more Black women and women run for office, it is crucial that we continue to amplify our voices and work together to achieve equal pay.

I take immense pride in the progress we've achieved in NY to strengthen our pay equity laws. We've successfully established equal pay for equal work, banned salary history & implemented pay transparency to empower workers to seek and advocate for fair compensation.

The pervasive wage gap continues to disproportionately impact the lives of working Black women, resulting in a Black woman losing an average of $26,574 in wages annually and an estimated $986,800 over their 40-year career.

His mark on New York will be remembered and we join his loved ones in mourning his loss and remembering his achievements.

Dick Ravitch was dedicated to the people of New York and spent much of his adult life answering the call to help the Empire State in times of crisis.  Every time New York needed a steady and wise hand, Dick Ravitch was there to serve his fellow New Yorkers.

This part of American history connects us all. Juneteenth is an American Holiday and a significant moment in American history. One that everyone should take time out to reflect upon. #Juneteenth2023

On Juneteenth we remember the horror of the institution of slavery and the impacts that it has had on this nation, and its people. I am proud that we recently passed the NYS Community Commission on Reparations Remedies to study the effects of slavery on present day society in NY.
