Alameda City Council has pulled the resolution that was on tonight's agenda to urge the county to back a Howard Terminal ballpark tax district bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/n…
A letter to Alameda Mayor Marylin Ashcraft and City Council members arrived today from Greg McConnell of The McConnell Group, who represents industrial businesses and urged a no vote on the resolution.
McConnell says tax $ shouldn't be used "to transform a port and industrial neighborhood that is the home of African American families into a ballpark. This is unnecessary; the project could be built on the existing coliseum grounds and have no negative impacts on anyone."
@rleutySportsBiz No the damn project couldn't be built on Coliseum grounds. Man people are quite stupid
