If you swab the equipment, tables, floors, and walls at the stall of your local fishmonger who was ill with covid, would you be surprised to find virus-positive surface samples contaminated with more fish than human material?
@Ayjchan One of your main arguments all along has been the coincidence of the nearby location of the WIV. Yet you dismiss the incredible coincidences of the initial case cluster centered at HSM, 2 separate lineages and abundance of raccoon dog DNA/RNA in SARS-CoV-2 positives env samples🤷♂️
@Ayjchan @KierenLythgow Zoonati and those they have convinced care not about sampling biases and things like positivity percentage rates Whatever needs to be said to stop the lab investigations will be said.
@Ayjchan 1) Your article references the original Gao paper in that no evidence of other animals was found in the environmental samples. This has just been proven to be false. Your section about the ‘2 strains’ is grossly oversimplified. They explain in great detail their analyses.
@Ayjchan 2) The intermediate calls they removed were due to low depth. You have to use strict cut offs due to bleedthrough from other sequencing runs and low frequency error.
@Ayjchan 3) Your part on the removal of ascertainment bias isn’t backed up, it’s hearsay. Ultimately, you provide zero evidence of a laboratory origin. There’s no actual evidence of cases linked to the WIV at all.
