3 weeks agoFire hydrants in Hamilton are painted every 3 –5 years. Hydrants are primed white and stay that way for a few days before being painted red. Reflective flow tags are added to the hydrants to show how much water flow is available & to increase visibility. Hamilton.ca/hydrantflushing

3 weeks ago@WerkHCN Respectfully, the vote was 14 to 1. I opposed the motion. These office costs need to be booked somewhere. Councillors have global budgets for their offices. Other departments i.e. Rec. should not be resourcing Ward offices. I supported request to set a policy for these offices.

3 weeks ago@HamiltonRambler Parking on Paramount is a significant safety hazard for kids who dart out between cars to hop into their parents or guardians cars.

Brad Clark (Ward 9) @BCouncillor
3 weeks ago@HamiltonRambler The best option is walk your children or let them bike to school using the crossing guard to cross Paramount Dr.

Brad Clark (Ward 9) @BCouncillor
3 weeks ago@HamiltonRambler There are several side streets connecting to Paramount… right across from the school. Unfortunately, some parents have resisted the no parking bylaw which is now being enforced.

Brad Clark (Ward 9) @BCouncillor
3 weeks ago@LarryDiIanni @WerkHCN This is one time funding to councillor office budget but they must opt in. My office budget is reasonable… always have a surplus which is returned to general funds. So, I opposed the motion and did not opt in. The increase becomes first council enhancement for budget 2024.

3 months ago@GabbiByrnes You are bang on… We are having those discussions with our staff as it is an issue across the city. Hope you have a good day.

Brad Clark (Ward 9) @BCouncillor
3 months ago@GabbiByrnes To be honest, the issue is all the parked cars left on your street during a snow event. The plow can’t clear curb to curb as they are avoiding the cars. They do their best to clear it… My office is working with traffic management on traffic calming for the entire neighbourhood.

Brad Clark (Ward 9) @BCouncillor
3 months ago@TheGTHA @cityofhamilton Respectfully, our plow operators do their best to clear the roads. I am sorry for your situation but there will always be spill-over that blocks driveways. I & my neighbours are always plowed in but we help each other clear it. The last event was worse with heavy snow and ice.
