This. It's low effort to preach when fees are low, but as they increase it's interesting to see the reactions. Some people complain, some people build.
Bitcoin isn't charity. The price of blockspace isn't set by any central authority. Unlike political parties in modern democracies, it doesn't try to appease any group of people and it doesn't owe affordability to transact to any economic class. Bitcoin is free market money.

Been seeing a lot of posts about is this enough $ to retire? I just have to say, everyone is different. Some have houses paid off, have no debt and have 10 yrs. Some are single, some are in debt. It’s not a one size fits all situation. Those questions are fucking retarded af.

@ckHODL @BTCGandalf yeah comes down to 'platform maximalist' view vs monetary maximalist view. Platform maxis want bitcoin to 'do all the things'. This is why they talk about "killing eth" or taking other use cases.
@BTCGandalf I'm not personally a filteroor, and I would prefer they go do shitcoin things elsewhere (whether that's on shitchains or on centralised databases elsewhere).
@BTCGandalf I'd much rather shitcoins continued to exist and did all their shitcoinery there than all shitcoins disappearing and shitcoinery moving to bitcoin.

Since it looks like shitcoins aren't going away anytime soon, what would you rather?
@BTCGandalf Shitcoins on bitcoin arent a thread to bitcoin but lead to more engagement and promotion for bitcoin, which might be a good thing. In the end shitcoins on bitcoin dissapear but shitcoiners learned about bitcoin.
@BTCGandalf Ordinals are a Darwin test. I don’t really care about them but if I had a choice I would rather have them off chain. Maybe in a shutterstock folder or something
