Increasingly hard to believe that Sputnik V is not accepted in the West purely due to a lack of clinical trial data.

@Nat_Vasilyeva Oddly enough, this appears to be one of the stories that Peskov isn't denying. reuters.com/world/europe/r…
@samagreene Sure. I'm aware of that. What I find jaw-dropping is: __ A headline moved an hour ago on Australia recognising Sputnik V certificates. So random. __ Then we see this tennis player saying she can compete at Australian Open after all. This isn't helping science.
@Nat_Vasilyeva No, it really isn't. And I'm convinced that EU/US/WHO recognition of Sputnik V would boost vaccination rates in Russia, which would be a good thing for everyone involved. It might also help int'l pharma cos get interested in helping boost production.
@samagreene @Nat_Vasilyeva vax rates would go up by basis points. Everyone here has already made up their mind one way or the other.
@johnhhaskell @samagreene @Nat_Vasilyeva Not sure about that for Russia. People legitimately don't trust the Russian government in a different way then here. I know people in Russia who would get the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine but won't get Sputnik because they don't trust it.
@BankerG2 @samagreene @Nat_Vasilyeva well good. I not only don't know any such person, I follow "Watching Covid-19.ru" on Facebook and haven't seen any such person there either. facebook.com/groups/watchin…
