Over the next few days, I'll share my annual list of favorite books, music, and movies. Art always sustains and nourishes the soul. But for me, music and storytelling felt especially urgent during this pandemic year. I'll start by sharing some of my favorite books of 2021:

Since these are works I have actually listened to, watched, or read, I’m sure I’ve missed some worthy stuff. So if you have your own recommendations to share, I’ll add them to the stack of books and movies I hope to catch up on over the holidays!

@BarackObama Thank you for being a cool, calm, compassionate, competent, classy President. Biden is great but I still adore and miss you. #BestPresident #PresidentObama

Next up are my favorite movies of the year. Each of these films tells a powerful story, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

@BarackObama Mr. President, I think this movie should be on your list. The film “Revolution of Our Times” is not only about the battle of Hongkongers but is about a war between all freedom lovers and dictatorships of our globe. #RoOT4Oscars #RevolutionOfOurTimes

@BarackObama I assume You already know their sociocultural context because you are #Obama from the "Dreams from my father" the #Africanhero #NoMore

@BarackObama While you are dazzled by listening to music there're many families who suffer exclusively for the loss of their children because of your policy that exterminated an entire generation towards developing countries such as Syria, Libya, Yemen and many African countries as well

@BarackObama I wish you know the meaning of the song. You will fill our pain as Ethiopan. By the way I voted two times for you and this time for President Biden I am disappointed why against 🇪🇹 #NoMore

@BarackObama Stop that & listen to #EthiopiansAndEritreans #NoMore @BarackObama Got #NoMore respect for you, lost trust! Forget Tedy, you may quote Abiy but fool me once, fool me twice..nahh we are awake.#EthiopiaPrevails & we support our hero @AbiyAhmedAli & #Trump2024
