No matter your opinion on Mike Shildt, it's not a good look to let go of your manager based on the direction of next year. It feels a little dysfunctional, which is the opposite of what this ball club strives to maintain and feels far from "The Cardinal Way."

@SpittinFactsSTL How did Shildt get this far if he is old school? He’s been with the organization close to 20 years. They didn’t know his philosophy when they made him the manager?
@Bluenotephan They didnt go completely into analytics until 2019. Shildt did so well finishing 2018, that they had to re-sign him though.
