I don’t hate Matt Grzelcyk whatsoever. In fact, I’ve defended him time and time again. He’s a very effective player and yet he still has limitations due to his size/stature/play style— it’s okay to say it. Toronto made adjustments and applied pressure to him down low. #NHLBruins

Not sure about Andrew Peeke’s status, but might need a change regardless. Shattenkirk isn’t really giving much of anything, Grzelcyk isn’t holding up under pressure and Lindholm is trying to carry more than he can. Wotherspoon—not Forbort—should probably go in IMO. #NHLBruins

Yeah and I think the positive outlook is that this game was winnable. Bruins lost a defenseman, didn’t convert on a late PP, McAvoy gave up a chance he rarely does and the first goal was a result of a weird bounce. Make adjustments, settle down and regroup. It’s tied. #NHLBruins

Good question— bigger concern with Marchand is that pucks are completely dying on his stick right now in transition and established zone time. The compete, hustle and effort is there but he’s not making smart plays consistently enough. Need more from the Captain. #NHLBruins

Toronto constantly kept the pressure on while forechecking and Boston’s defensemen struggled to collect themselves as a result. Too many pucks being rimmed around, flicked out instead of collected, skated and passed upward. The defense has to get a handle on the pace. #NHLBruins

Forbort isn’t an option for tonight and will travel to Toronto. I’m happy Forbort is healthy to practice and bring his intangibles to the locker room, but unless there are several injuries he shouldn’t see any playoff reps. He’s behind Wotherspoon and Lohrei right now. #NHLBruins

Impressive playoff debut for Andrew Peeke last night against a fast, skilled and offensively oriented Leafs roster. Tight gaps, disciplined net-front physicality and used his frame to edge guys out of the play. Kudos to Boston’s pro scouts on that acquisition. #NHLBruins
