Baseball wants to grow the game yet everyone that covers baseball complains about it. They need to stop catering to the people that will never care about baseball.
@CrofootJenna You've missed the fact that many, many people who work for teams can't stand the product that has developed and talk about it often, but privately. This is what Theo Epstein talked out loud about last fall. bostonglobe.com/2020/11/17/spo… You think Theo hates baseball?
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna Lemme try this Old NFL ppl-> what is this spread offense, I like running the ball Old NBA ppl -> feed the post, I hate all this dribbling and only shooting 3s Feels like every sport deals with this 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏼♂️😉
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna 4+ hour playoff games isn't going to bring in any new fans.
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna I hope Theo can help save the game like he led both Boston and Chicago to WS titles .
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna Theo Epstein is right. The pure push for analytics has made the product on the field stale and boring. There’s little to no action on the base paths and most of the game now is guys standing around until a homerun is hit. Casual fans don’t care about the advanced analytics
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna Waiting for someone to watch old 80’s baseball videos and figure out that they can win that way. It’s slanted so much to one side, that if you get the right talent to play that style, I’m not sure most teams could compete with it.
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna Strikeouts are boring and fascist
@Buster_ESPN @CrofootJenna Accountability with umpires would improve the game.
