Trying to be more “positive” but recently I was on a long plane ride and almost every normal looking adult was watching, like, Black Widow or Jungle Cruise as their in-flight entertainment. Baby food culture.
@JohnMagary I PERSONALLY ONLY WATCH HIGHLY ESTEEMED, OSCAR NOMINATED FILMS ON MY PIXELATED AS FUCK SCREEN THAT EXPERIENCES FREQUENT AND UNPREDICTABLE INTERRUPTIONS AND OFTEN EDITS OH AND ALSO IT’S ON THE BACK OF STRANGER’S UNCOMFORTABLY RECLINED SEAT WHICH SHAKES WHENEVER THEY MOVE
@Charalanahzard @JohnMagary May I respectfully add: PLUS DURING FREQUENT NAPS AND BATHROOM BREAKS AND “MEAL SERVICE” (joke) AND TURBULENCE AND GENERAL MAYHEM THAT WE SETTLE FOR ON PLANES TODAY.
@Charalanahzard @JohnMagary I LOVE WATCHING SERIOUS DIALOG HEAVY INTERPERSONAL DRAMAS IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE AMBIENT SOUND IS 95 dB AND I CAN ONLY MAKE OUT EVERY OTHER WORD ON MY HEADPHONES ABOVE THE ENGINE WHINE.
@Charalanahzard @JohnMagary I like how they're all "these movies are for CHILDREN, only CHILDREN watch these movies!!" As they go online to cry about how people like things they don't like. You know, grown up adult behaviour.
@Charalanahzard "The screen isn't great, might as well watch garbage" it's dumb as hell
@Charalanahzard @JohnMagary Right? When I used to fly a lot more, flights were specifically where I watched movies like in the OP because it's exactly the place to watch things you don't have to be 100% engaged in because of everything around it.
