Why did they change the draft and death in Vietnam (Cambodia) to "they went off to college"? The Vietnam War was a huge deal during that period, and that had a much bigger impact in the book than someone heading off to higher education. 2/🧵

I'm almost at 100 subscribers after 2 months on BookTube. A small number, but it's continuing to grow. I've enjoyed my time on YouTube, and I think starting a language channel will help me reignite my passion for language learning. 3/🧵
