I tried off/on to maintain proficiency and even tried to learn other languages, but my perseverance kept failing. Language learning and everything that comes with it (sense of accomplishment, amazing conversations, a broader world view, etc) is something I really miss. 2/🧵
I'm almost at 100 subscribers after 2 months on BookTube. A small number, but it's continuing to grow. I've enjoyed my time on YouTube, and I think starting a language channel will help me reignite my passion for language learning. 3/🧵
At this time, I don't have a lot of details, but it would document my process, progress, and probably include conversations with native speakers. The two languages I'd most likely begin with are Korean and Vietnamese, but that would just be the start. 4/🧵
I don't have a lot of followers here, so if by some miracle someone sees this that is also interested in the idea, let me know your thoughts! I'd love feedback and ideas. 5/🧵
Also, shout out to: @ttmik helped me immensely when learning Korean. @laoshu505000's passion for language learning was infectious and is still inspiring me years after his passing. RIP @irishpolyglot made me realize that you should speak from day one. End/🧵
