Just because you were good as a player in High School, doesn't mean you will become a good Coach! I've seen average players in highschool, become better coaches.

@CoachFloyd252 I don't think that's an unpopular opinion, but I will say that just because you played in THE NFL it doesn't mean you're going to be a good coach either.
@CoachFloyd252 I have this same opinion about guys who go to college and nfl guys. I was talking with a OLine guy early in my young career and he said something I’ll never forget “I believe you can be a better coach because you didn’t continue to play because you will have more patience”
@CoachFloyd252 Being a great coach has nothing to do with how great a player you were (or where you played). All that matters is that you can teach the game, in a way, that your players can understand, while making them better & showing them that you have their best interests in mind.
@CoachFloyd252 Even better ... college athletes that think they will be good coaches. See that a lot too!
@CoachFloyd252 I have a guy on staff right now that never played football. Quickly turning into one of our most valuable coaches because he is willing to work and open to learn about everything we ask him to.
