Simone Biles has been making America and Houston proud for YEARS. She has been the woman in the arena, a place that internet trolls know nothing about. We can be disappointed in her decision, but until you’re the one stepping up to win gold, maybe sit this one out.
@DanCrenshawTX @DanCrenshawTX Thank you for the thoughtful, well-reasoned words. I wish you could apply the same measured logic, process and weighing of the facts to ALL of the issues. We would be better off as a nation.
@DanCrenshawTX And here I am, liking a Dan Crenshaw post 😭
@DanCrenshawTX @karaswisher Something from you that makes sense
@DanCrenshawTX I somewhat agree…but you got folks telling us that she's a "hero" for quitting. Maybe those folks should be sitting out the convo also. BTW-I'm hearing now that she called herself "the GOAT". Ummm, then quit on her team at the most crucial of moments. Not a GOAT!
@DanCrenshawTX Nah, Dan the important issue isn’t that people are mad that she stepped down. She’s human, humans need breaks, even humans as excellent as Simone. The issue is with a society that calls quitting under pressure heroic. Simone has acted heroically in the past.
@DanCrenshawTX Agree 💯. I was more disappointed with her joining team BLM to be honest
@DanCrenshawTX Luv ya Dan...but.....shit's still weak. She's acting all nonchalant about it and it's suspicious.......just seems too weak....... More of us have had worse and worked through it and if she was true she would to. Just a Marines humble opinion.....
@DanCrenshawTX Simone Biles is having what gymnasts call twisties, where you lose the ability to know where your body is when you are upside down/twisting. Not only is it mentally challenging, if you don't know where you are when doing these dangerious moves, you can fall on your head and DIE.
@DanCrenshawTX @DavidAFrench This logic makes virtually all criticism in any field invalid.
