"If Pence is willing to talk to the Justice Department... he doesn't necessarily have to obey former President Trump telling him not to talk because of executive privilege... executive privilege can't stop him from talking" - @charlie_savage w/ @NicolleDWallace
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace Executive Privilege doesn't cover anything he put in his Book! @Mike_Pence is the man that ENABLED #TrumpTreason for 4 YEARS 🤬.
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace No witness ever has to abide by executive privilege. That's up to the executive to assert and a judge to enforce.
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace Pence is a coward. Afraid of alienating the Trump base and ending his political life. Ironically, if Pence could have mustered courage 20 months ago, he may strengthened his political position. But now, this late in the process and being forced to testify, he is a nobody.
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace I thought executive privilege, something not even in the Constitution, was at the discretion of the current POTUS, not an ex-POTUS guilty of criminal acts.
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace IIRC, only @POTUS (Biden) has Executive Privilege w/very few exceptions. Biden already declined to exert EP on behalf of the previous Admin & courts have already backed him up, w/anything related to #J6, attempted violent anti-Constitution coup via attempted election interference
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace Yeah , pence testifying. And I’ll win the next power ball
@DeadlineWH @charlie_savage @NicolleDWallace The issue is does Mike Pence have the character to talk with them, to do the right thing. We shall see.
