Joss Whedon, once an icon of Hollywood feminism, is now an outcast accused of misogyny. So how did he get here? A @lilapearl report: vult.re/3tvPG8p
@vulture @lilapearl ...because a few whiny divas got their fefe's hurt! Nevermind that the majority of his casts have nothing but good things to say about him.... #IStandWithJossWhedon
@ASm1thee @vulture @lilapearl When the people who criticize him inlcude Charisma Carpenter, Michelle Trachtenburg, and Sarah Michelle Geller? That's when it's "Hmm..."
@DivineBloodBook @vulture @lilapearl And yet where is the cast of Firefly? Dr horrible? Dollhouse? Avengers? The Nevers? Why aren't we hearing horror stories from the casts of literally EVERY other project he did? Hell of a ratio! Why did some try to defend him/still praise him? Makes you go "hmmm"
@ASm1thee @DivineBloodBook @vulture @lilapearl Every asshole has their defenders, protectors, even outright enablers. There being people out there who got along with Whedon doesn’t invalidate anything.
@harryhenry6 @ASm1thee @vulture @lilapearl Off the top of my head? Firefly was a short series, where he had a good day. Ditto Dr. Horrible. The explanation? Joss Whedon's issues happen when he is stressed, or when he is on a long-term project. I'd also have to do some looking of my own.
@harryhenry6 @ASm1thee @vulture @lilapearl And...new information I found, about Dollhouse... x.com/jennyenicholso…
