@Dolby Just wondering. To move a sound from back to front, does this have to be done with a 3D object, and can it be done by the old channel method also? Is it just much easier to make things 3D objects? Or in certain situations it depends?
@HDMOVIESOURCE Hi there! You can use a channel based bed or an object to move a sound from front to back. The advantage of an object is that it will scale across playback systems. For more info on beds and objects go here: professionalsupport.dolby.com/s/topic/0TO4u0…
@Dolby Thanks for the response. Right, so if you have 2 mid-height channels, as well as a front and back height channel. The 3D objects would take advantage of more channels. In theory, could you place everything as a 3D object? Is there a limit to the amount of 3D objects you can use?
