As renewables begin to dominate energy system they will exert strong deflationary force. Zero marginal cost: spend capital, get a stream of energy Hydrocabrons are inflationary. They have high marginal costs and are difficult to obtain over time as easier geology dries up.
@DukakisDude We’re at the beginning of the Revolution. Costs are low. Almost every new electrical energy project is renewable. If you take an energy law class they barely teach fossil fuel policy. Why? Cause 95% of the work is new developments and there just aren’t new fossil fuel ones.
@DukakisDude I'm just terrified we're going to crash into a battery-price wall from hard material limits before we have enough storage to power everything with renewables. That's pretty much the only thing that could prevent total renewable domination at this point.
@DukakisDude @MandHF I mean I’d say so it we lived in a perfectly rational era but a good 40% of the US would bathe itself in coal dust and raw crude just to own the libs and will pass laws and vote accordingly
@DukakisDude @DurhamFella Renewables excite me so much.
