You want to know what's nuts? The Wright Brothers' first flight was in 1903. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were on the moon by 1969. Only 66 years between them. Millions of people remembered the first and watched the second. I think about that a lot.
Sadly, my version of this is getting freaked out by FIFA on my kid's Xbox when my first footy game on the Atari 2600 looked like this:
@EnswellJones This is deep. And I haven’t even touched the special brownies yet.
@EnswellJones Why hasn't someone gone to the moon the last 4 decades with improved and more advanced technology?
@EnswellJones And how many years has Man watched birds fly (!).
@EnswellJones That’s incredible and yet I feel a little sad that I was too young (1 yr old) to remember first moon landing and I’ve yet to see another one since 😕
@EnswellJones Same. Watching how we have matured with each new break through in technology is so fascinating. I hope I’m still alive when we figure out how to harness gravitational waves.
@EnswellJones I got together with a couple friends to watch Band of Brothers the other night and, while of course jumping out of a plane and landing in war is terrifying, it's easy to forget that (in 1944) just being in an airplane was probably terrifying on its own.
