The notion that disabled people should supply their own access & accommodation is absurd. Do we expect a wheelchair user to carry a ramp? Do we expect deaf people to bring their own interpreters? Stop blaming disabled people. Inaccessibility and ableism are the problem.
@GHMansfield Who blamed anyone…except for you constantly tweeting how much you demand people are discriminating against you. Poor you and your sad little self. Nobody else whines . We just enjoy our lives with complex disabilities and don’t need twitter to whinge.
@GHMansfield It's astonishing. Many people say that I should take someone with me EVERYWHERE I go just in case I require someone 2 speak 2 the manager 4 me. They think it's a ridiculous ask 4 me 2 step aside in a little room & say what I need 2 an employee. But I can't get legal help :-(
@GHMansfield This sadly has happened to me. To be fair, I put myself in this situation while trying to secure a job with the @HSELive. I understand how wrong that was. I desolve the site manager of her responsibilities. @AccessForAll7 @DisabilityFed. Solving accommodation is not my job.
@GHMansfield I was incredibly mad at this. Guiding someone through back rooms isn't accessibility
@GHMansfield They do expect disabled ppl to carry their own ramp, at least in UK. I went ahead + bought one since businesses refuse to but it's physically impossible to lug ot around (I sadly don't have a car which i desperately need). Stuck home since 99.9% of places aren't accessible here.
@GHMansfield the fact that people actually do expect that tho…. wolf
