@nickvanamstel The system currently operates in the lower city from Dundas to Ottawa St so trips are largely occurring in that part of the city. We'd love to expand the service to the Mountain in the future to enable bike share trips there, too!

New to bike share? It takes ~2 minutes to sign up for a new membership in the Social Bicycles app or on our website, and most people choose the Pay As You Go or Monthly passes to access our bikes across the lower city (from Ottawa St to Dundas).

While we adjust to potential increases in demand, we recommend riders use the Social Bicycles app or live map on our website (hamiltonbikeshare.ca) to check for bike availability at nearby hubs.

Beginning Thursday, November 9, Hamilton’s transit workers will be on strike, which means the HSR bus service will not be operating. This will not impact accessible transportation services offered by DARTS. Bike share will continue to be available 24/7 during this time.

Last weekend we hosted a group ride to the new crosswalk mural painted by Tandeka Tremblay! Thank you to everyone who came out for this ride and to our partners at the city for their support! We’re looking forward to having #BikeShare hubs in this Ward 4 neighbourhood next year.

We had some help with our crosswalk mural from kids at the nearby @cityofhamilton Supie program over the summer, who helped design the smaller fish swimming across the street. Check out a few of their suggested designs, and visit the crosswalk to see which were selected!

❗️Hub Alert❗️ The bike share hub at Cannon & Ottawa will be temporarily offline for a paving project. The closest hubs are at Belview & Cannon, Barton & Ottawa, and Dunsmure & Ottawa. Riders can continue to see all available bikes and hubs in real-time in the SoBi app. #HamOnt
