Saturday March 23rd is a right of spring for our running community. BILL RONEY 5K in Utica at 10am. Hansons 5k began in 1991 but changed the name after the death of Bill Roney. Bill was influential and loyal to everything we do. Loyalty is reciprocal. We are forever grateful.
40 years ago I loved running by mirrored windows. I thought “boy do I look fast”. Today I thought “who is that old guy and why is he so damn slow?” Reality is a tough pill to swallow.

The 13 @HansonsDistProj athletes that have qualified for the Olympic Trials in Orlando February 3rd 2024 will be spending this winter in Florida preparing. We would like to do a send off on Wednesday December 13th at 7 pm but unsure of how many of you would like to be included?

A lesson that we should teach our athletes. You can do everything right. Your daily runs, sleep & diet perfect. Great mindset about your workouts. AND STILL FAIL ON RACE DAY Sport is hard and you better learn that success is even harder. Get after it again. Easy isn’t worth it.

Canton Boys Cross-Country won the Wayne County Championships this past weekend. Oxford Boys and Girls won the Oakland County Championships. Do you know what these teams have in common? They all ran the 2023 Hansons XC Invitational and we are proud of all of them. Congrats Champs

Proud of my daughter @samluvs2run for dipping under 3 hours yesterday with a 2:58:57 at Chicago Marathon. This also gives her bragging rights over her Mom (my wife) Nancy who ran a 2:59:21 30 years ago.
And Samantha destroyed the HAWI Management staff marathon record! The record is here to stay unless Samantha breaks it again herself. Even if we hire @runmeb to join our staff, not sure if the record would go down. It’s not about your PB, it’s about what you run while at HAWI.
