(1/2) Watched a video of a tornado rapidly intensify immediately before exploding on itself, and it got me thinking, “Maybe the size of a tornado is related to the maximum wind speed it can support.” Anyone know anything about the science behind this?

(2/2) I want to write a paper on this subject, but I haven’t taken enough classes to know the full scope of what I’m trying to uncover. I don’t even know if what I’m talking about is a new concept. I just want to know how centrifugal force effects the size of tornadoes.
