@ID_AA_Carmack we really need a developer toggle for on-device Passthrough recording and Casting on Quest. Currently we are having to cast to PC with wireless ADB and screen capture the cropped feed.
@haltor @ID_AA_Carmack Better to just allow passthrough video capture, it's an important feature. Just ask for permission before recording if privacy is a concern.

@haltor @javierdavalos It is easy to imagine why Meta is skittish about camera input — the negative stories, even if unfair, practically write themselves: “<Embarrassing thing> captured by Meta’s VR headset!” It won’t matter that the user explicitly enabled it. Still, it is probably inevitable.

@ID_AA_Carmack @javierdavalos Totally understand the trepidations around consumer option. But the Dev-only option seems like a no brainer since we are all trying to promote the future of Passthrough AR.
