It is genuinely heartbreaking that we find ourselves with no more time for what we love, working our days away just to be able to 'afford' to survive, while the very life we work to build up slowly ticks away.
@JLostein It blows my mind how people don't recognize that they're not forced to live society's cookie cutter type of life. Avoid debt at all cost, learn trades & how to correctly invest. I'm 35 and debt free, living an extremely peaceful life because i decided that's how it's gonna be.
@JLostein @chrissyxchi The real problem is that the lower middle class and poor are taxed. The rich could easily make up the difference in taxes but the people in power would rather you feel as screwed as possible. I'm surprised people aren't protesting in front of the IRS building tbh.
@JLostein So unironically return to monke?
@JLostein @shorkgirl Seriously id really like to know how the fuck we've progressed at all as a species if this is where we're at.
@JLostein I live in a society where it's common and appreciated when you work yourself to death. It means you're a good employee when you drag yourself to work with fever just to cure your cold on weekends. When you point out it's nuts, you're the lazy one who's always complaining...
@JLostein @PinkAnimations In summary: return to monke
