Brian Brohm stays and takes over for the time being. I guess I assumed he would go to, but it makes sense. I'm excited to see him call this one. Remember when he took over at Iowa last year? twitter.com/JaredOn1017/st…
@Ron_Ewing Thank you. It happened after I went on the air and didn't see it. Kyle got me straighten out.
@CD_Ferree Oh yeah, I'd like DeBore though. Not gonna happen but a guy can dream
@CD_Ferree I like him, don't get me wrong, I think I need someone with more experience as a coordinator at least. This would be a hell of a leap for your first HC job.
my apologies, I meant Barclay, going back looking at this, I know shep is gone. I was in a waiting room and got called and tried to finish before I went in.
Can I be honest. I'm reading everyone's short lists for a new HC...Not a lot of names that get me excited. That's no disrespect to anyone's list, they are well thought out. I'm just like "Which one of these guys do i want to go to war with?" Who is the home run for Purdue?
@BoilerBH I don’t think there will be some mass exodus to the portal. Plus, who knows who’s the next coach. And remember just because you hit the portal doesn’t mean you can’t come right back out.
I would hope Coach Hagen takes over for the bowl game and it’s my hope he stays for a long time. That’s what I would do. Coach shep another guy I think the players really like. I would expect a new head coach soon.
Purdue’s Jeff Brohm leaving to become the new coach at Louisville, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. 1st report by @ClowESPN. Brohm, a star QB for the Cardinals from 1989-93, has a 66-44 record in 9 seasons at Western Kentucky & Purdue. Brohm was 17-9 last two years at Purdue
Jeff Brohm and @LouisvilleFB are in the process of finalizing a deal to bring Brohm back to his alma mater as head coach, sources tell ESPN. The deal would be for six years in the $35 million range. Brohm has been at @BoilerFootball the past six seasons.
@BoilerBH It wasn’t so much that tweet, it’s who retweeted it that caught my eye.
@BoilerBH It’s one of a few from their players. No one out right saying it. I, like you guys see a lot of the rumors. I have some people in my ear too. I’m just adding things up and I’m not a big fan of the sum right now. I certainly don’t think this all looks good.
@NYeoman Since they own everything does WCW stuff count. If so…
5.Ohio state? Iowa? Rutgers?
Yes I know Maryland just beat Illinois. But they’ve played 4 ranked teams and 3 on neutral courts with 2 top 10 wins. Maryland and IU have some tough ones coming up though. Iowa beats Duke I’ll give them 5
@JimStone511 How about this. Let’s get nuts. What if nothing happens tomorrow because Josh Heird doesn’t offer it to him? I know nothing. I’m just playing devil’s advocate. Can’t swear off a job they didn’t offer you.
@TheRebuildingYr And how many people thought Drew Brees got struck by lightning?
Also said: "We are excited to keep Texas A&M as an opponent this season and appreciate the efforts made by both of our schools’ administrations in rescheduling the contest for Dec. 21." Good on them. If it's not up to standards, they don't get Purdue Basketball. twitter.com/JaredOn1017/st…
.@katiegearlds4 with a statement on Vegas trip. "It is our hope that individuals inside and outside of women’s basketball can collectively continue to support the sport’s tremendous upward trajectory by focusing on the safety, welfare and elevation of its student-athletes.”
@Boiler0fLegend maybe a QB's coach, but the best question to ask is, "Does he want to be a coach?" He has a knowledge set that's for sure, but he's gotta want to be there. This is a full time gig, travel all the time. Seems like a guy who likes retirement, wants to spend time with the boys.
@triweb Big number there! You love to see it! Congrats.
More on that decision to leave Las Vegas and just play A&M. Seems like Purdue made the right call here. espn.com/womens-college…
