@KidPinku That artistic impression is rather misguiding. European victory in Africa was aided, first, second, and foremost, by the canon. Spears and swords were phased out for use in battle nearly 800 ya. Now its artillery, not men, that win wars.

@KidPinku It's not just black Muslims. It is an alliance of Arab Muslims called Abdalab with the Fung, an African Muslim tribe. They set up Islamic State called The Blue Sultanate, which ruled Sudan for nearly 300 years before it was brought down by Muhammad Ali Pasha's sons.
