The NDP doesn’t care about bringing Ontario Place back to life. This government does. That’s why we’re bringing the Science Centre to the heart of the city, with more permanent exhibition space for everyone to enjoy.

Infrastructure Ontario released the Ontario Science Centre Modernization business case today, which strongly demonstrates the benefits of a brand-new facility at Ontario Place, saving taxpayers $257 million over a 50-year period when compared to remaining at the current site.

Legislators have been debating about Ontario Place since the late 80’s. With a plan to deliver a year-round destination with fun for everyone, our government is going to be the one to get the job done.

Ontario and Toronto have reached a new deal that will help achieve long-term stability for the city by protecting our highways, providing safety on the TTC, continuing plans for fare and service integration, and bringing Ontario Place back to Life with a new Science Centre.

Getting it Done in the first session ✅ Since being back in the Legislature this Fall, #TeamOntario at the Ministry of Infrastructure has introduced 2 new bills that will help make transit more accessible, modernize Ontario's real estate portfolio, and save taxpayer dollars.

Today in Hamilton, I joined @AndreaHorwath, @SkellyHamilton & @FilomenaTassi as we marked the completion of upgrades to the Woodward Wastewater Treatment Plant. Thanks to our investment, the facility will help protect #LakeOntario and improve water quality.

Together with @PBethlenfalvy, I announced an investment of $200M towards this critical infrastructure that will support the province’s growing population, unlock more housing opportunities, and spur economic growth. (2/2)

We’re saving the Science Centre- and sparking curiosity for a new generation of visitors. 🔬🧪🥼 In a state-of-the art facility with more exhibition space, the new Science Centre will be the third anchor tenant at the redeveloped Ontario Place that will be enjoyed year-round.

The newly redeveloped Ontario Place will feature 50 acres of public space, Therme’s wellness facility & waterpark, the new Ontario Science Centre, and a brand new Live Nation concert venue. If that doesn’t require parking, I don’t know what does.

Last year, @RudyCuzzetto led the effort to designate October as Hungarian Heritage Month. Last night, I joined the Canadian-Hungarian community to celebrate the heritage and resilience of the Hungarian people who have given so much to our province and country.

Our government is building capacity in every corner of the province, getting shovels in the ground for over 50 hospital projects. With the request for proposals now closed, this milestone means we are one step closer to completing CAMH's new building for forensic #MentalHealth.
