Try being 20 minutes late clocking on, 20 minutes late to teach a class, 20 minutes late for an interview, 20 minutes late for a train, 20 minutes late for a court appearance etc. Although I’m glad Naomi Fisher can be 20 minutes late for meetings with no negative repercussions.

No guidance fixes all problems. But it helps. This guidance can help. Recommended.
4. Everyone bans them already (2). They really don’t. And I am frequently asked ‘how do I ban them?’ by weary leaders, so possibly the people who don’t agree with this guidance need to get out into schools more or broaden their echo chambers. Because schools need help with this.
3. Some unions say it’s not necessary? That’s sad, but not helpful to leaders, teachers or students. Phones are a huge problem. But you really need to be in schools working in diverse environments to appreciate that, so perhaps it’s understandable.
