The innocent people of Ukraine have suffered devastating violence and destruction at the hands of Vladimir Putin and his war machine for years. The bloody full-scale escalation that he began one year ago with zero justification is just the latest chapter.
The brave and free men and women of Ukraine and their elected leaders have inspired the world with their courage and resolute determination to maintain their sovereignty and freedom in the face of this thuggery.
It is not just charity for the U.S. and our NATO allies to help supply Ukraine. It is a direct investment in our own core interests. Our security and prosperity are intertwined with a stable Europe. And our partners in Asia say China is closely watching how Ukraine plays out.

@LeaderMcConnell Yea right. What did the promise you?
@LeaderMcConnell NO. Stop the open checkbook. Your constituents are in need, and you're sending their and our money to a corrupt regime, and inviting WW3 in the process.
@LeaderMcConnell Shouldn’t all of Europe contribute at least as much as US in support money to Ukraine? Where is Germany, UK and France? How much have we spent over the last 75 years in defense of Europe?
@LeaderMcConnell Tell your party that.
@LeaderMcConnell Ukraine is not a NATO country, and we should not be involved. Your actions imply you have some sort of interest there that may be less than professional. Don't give us that crap of worry for the Ukrainian people until you support an audit of the money already sent.
@LeaderMcConnell While America waste away and you enrich yourself along with all of congress
