Today was an inspiring moment. Taking the first formal step to holding the Voice Referendum.
The Voice is about two things: recognition and consultation.
It is what so many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people want.
Let’s do this, together.

This morning we took the first formal step to holding a referendum.
It will be a chance for all Australians to be heard, and to change our country for the better.
To recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our constitution, and deliver a Voice to Parliament.

The Constitution Alteration (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice) 2023 is a powerful marker of our respect for the First Nations peoples of Australia, their cultures and their elders past and present.

Remember: you can always report online abuse, and eSafety can take action. You can read more about the eSafety’s First Nations resources here – including how you can get support if you’re the victim of online abuse: esafety.gov.au/first-nations/…
There’s no place for abuse online and nobody should be attacked because of who they are.
It was a pleasure to meet with the eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant to hear about her important work – including new resources to help our mob if they’re abused online.
The 20 clinics will provide expert, multidisciplinary services and care for women with endometriosis and pelvic pain. Because women's pain should be taken seriously. health.gov.au/ministers/the-…
Endometriosis affects at least 1 in 9 Australian women and can have an extensive, devastating impact on the daily lives of sufferers.
So we're delivering Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics across all states and territories.
Kyam Maher recently provided an update on the South Australian First Nations Voice to parliament to our Referendum Working Group. The lessons learnt along the way in SA will help inform work towards a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to parliament.
I commend the Premier Peter Malinauskas for his great leadership and the Commissioner for First Nations Voice Dale Agius and the Hon Kyam Maher MLC, Attorney-General of South Australia and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
This is such an historic and significant moment for South Australia. All South Australians should be proud of what’s been achieved. twitter.com/pmalinauskasmp…

Congratulations to Chris Minns and team! Next Labor Premier of NSW! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I couldn’t go today without giving a big shout out to Crumpy! He’s come to hand out for Labor at every election for more than 20 years, travelling all the way from Moree. Give a big thank you to Crumpy! 👏👏
What a day! One thing is clear about today's NSW election – there's a real mood for change. I know that Chris Minns and Labor can deliver that fresh start for NSW.
Today is polling day for the NSW State Election! First stop of the day is at Marrickville West Primary with Jo Haylen. I’m excited for a Chris Minns Labor Government which will deliver a fresh start for NSW!
A huge thank you to Neos Kosmos, and the Australian Greek Community, for your support for the Voice! 🇬🇷 ❤️💛🖤 neoskosmos.com/en/2023/03/23/… @NeosKosmos
The Australian people can be confident that the work has been done to ensure a Voice that works.
A Voice that makes practical difference.
A Voice will hold bureaucracy to account.
A Voice that will move Australia forward for everyone.
We are one step closer to the Voice referendum. The Referendum Act hasn’t been used since 1999. We’re modernising it so it's more like how federal elections are run, that means pre-poll and postal voting. Constitutional recognition through Voice will take Australia forward.
