Have you heard of Tunnel Park in the SouthSide Works? Running beneath the green space is J&L Tunnel that was constructed in the 1880s. In 2013, Mascaro increased the vertical clearance inside the 1,600 linear-foot-long track to enable trains to carry double-stack container cars.
In February, guests were greeted by feathered and furry friends at the annual Gentlemen’s Night Out at Acrisure Stadium, hosted by Michael Mascaro. Guests of the night enjoyed dinner, cocktails, and live music to raise $212,000 for the @National_Aviary.
Congrats to our project teams for keeping the health & safety of those on-site at the forefront. We recognized 49 of our projects for being incident-free for the last 4 quarters. Our teams worked 1,104,467 manhours, completed 150 training classes & 1,440 safety orientations.
At @ALCOSAN, the team is hard at work constructing the tunnel, chlorine contact tank, chemical building, & a new clarifier. The team is also preparing to add another clarifier near the river wall. When complete, the work will increase capacity to 295 million gallons per day.
Mascaro with J/V partner @bartonmalow prepped and placed concrete for the 5th floor of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center at the @PittTweet. When finished the 5th floor will house the pool & locker room area. You can read more about the project at reccenter.pitt.edu

There's a lot of history on those shelves – 250,000,000 pieces to be exact! The 145,000 sq. ft. PA State Archives building is home to 250,000,000 historic documents stored across multiple rooms on 5 levels featuring a computerized high density shelving systems & climate control.
Last week, we had a special day at @JAWPA BizTown. Students from @thewatsoninst joined us for the day & selected the storefronts they wished to be open. Mascaro was selected and the kids did a great job of running Mascaro Construction for the day and constructing a bench!

Congratulations team! At the GSA Construction Awards, the Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse received the Merit in Outstanding Demonstration of Ingenuity Contractor by the U.S. General Services Administration. The courthouse is 10 stories, 243,000 sq ft, 42 interior parking spaces.
