The fact that my car drove itself 10 minutes from the grocery store parking lot to my house (without a single intervention from me) feels so futuristic. New @Tesla FSD is absolutely wild. I did get honked at once though cause the driving was a bit too proper and by the law lol

@elonmusk removing the ability to search with a verified and/or follows filter from the mobile app kills some of the network effects of being verified. Seems like the wrong product choice if the goal is to create a higher value network on top of the regular network.
the new @insta360 X4 was announced today. i’ve been working with insta360 for a couple years now and this is by a leap the best product they’ve shipped. 8k 360 image means your 16x9 crop is almost 4k. so crispy. *some test footage from a couple weeks ago
Marques’ reach is a function of telling the truth. He didn’t always have 18 million subscribers, but he had his integrity from the beginning. Expecting him to abandon that is the only thing that is “distasteful, almost unethical”.
I find it distasteful, almost unethical, to say this when you have 18 million subscribers. Hard to explain why, but with great reach comes great responsibility. Potentially killing someone else’s nascent project reeks of carelessness. First, do no harm.

every time a Larry Sher lensed movie comes out, I think back to the scene in Project Greenlight S2 in which the directors cut Larry off in his interview and chastise him for "talking over them." The next scene is Larry's agent calling to pull him out of the project. lol.

I think it would be better for the Internet if we scrap creator funds on feed-based apps like X/TikTok/IG. Paying people for views against an algorithm has been a race to the bottom in terms of quality. Works much better on selective viewing platforms like YouTube (obviously).
Little update regarding the last few months - I was diagnosed with ascending aortic aneurysm which required open heart surgery, and was operated on last week. Now recovery continues at home 👊🏻👊🏻
