I’m actually ok if tv shows pretend the pandemic did not happen
This is truly my most basic thought. I tweeted this while watching You season 3 and some of you are reading too much into this and replying to things I did not say, which is to be expected from Twitter.
@MohanadElshieky The MCU got it unfortunately perfectly when they just pretended half the world didn't exist for the years the pandemic would happen
@MohanadElshieky What’s worse is shows that incorporated the pandemic and now live in a fully post pandemic world
@MohanadElshieky I think Superstore is the only show that's done it well like it was consistent, it was normalised, it was factual, but it didnt actually impact the plot. Imo Id prefer if we kept my escapism shows free of the real world🤣but obviously they needed to take precautions while filming
@MohanadElshieky I wish they would all do it. Lol I don’t need to watch something I’m still living. Give me fantasy or give me cancellation!!
@MohanadElshieky I’ve had enough COVID in my life and I’d prefer it not to enter into my entertainment. Totally fine if we skip over mask wearing and COVID. I mean, the stories are in different realities, right?
@MohanadElshieky The final season of Last Man Standing jumped 3 years into the future and referenced the pandemic through flashbacks
@MohanadElshieky Yes. I'm about halfway through season 11 of Shameless and the pandemic stuff is just pointless and irritating.
@MohanadElshieky Walking Dead did a great job of this.
