First shot at Thursday's snow forecast. I say first shot because these events will need tweaking. Any time systems start as rain and then change to snow are difficult to forecast. Timing when it changes over and any tiny change in storm track makes a giant difference. Stay tuned.

Totals Update! New totals are coming in this morning. So far the biggest totals are in Racine county -- with a few getting up to or just over 10"! Totals were lower across our northern counites.

@marcEbennett Many of these were from last night -- I'm working on an updated graphic right now! 1"-3" (at least) fell after 9 or 10 when these reports were taken

Road conditions are improving this morning! Everything was snow-covered while I was driving in around 2:30AM. Still, plan for slower travel times this morning. Side roads are still snow-packed.

How much snow are you waking up to this morning?! Highest totals were near the IL boarder, with a few reports up to 8". Parts of our northern counties only picked up about 2".

That’s a heavy band of snow over Walworth, Racine and Kenosha countries! Plan for slow travel if you have to head out, especially south of I-94.

There's a band of steady-moderate snow across the I-94 corridor right now. A second in northern IL will slowly move into our southern counties over the next few hours.

Just a few flakes in Milwaukee, but the snow is coming down in Brookfield! Roads will get slick quickly as snow moves in, and stay they'll likely stay slippery the rest of the day. Take it slow (and turn on your headlights) if you're headed out today.

I'm seeing snowfall reports out of Madison and in southern Walworth county! Our forecast is still on track -- all of southeast Wisconsin can expect 4"-6" of snow between now and midnight-3AM. A few isolated totals topping 6" are possible. Stay safe if you're headed out today!
