Want to really help your athletes and clients get better, talk in their language. Simple analogies helps build better understanding. Aerobic base = Gas Tank Speed = Turbo button Macros = Bricks Micros = Glue
@Mr_davisj Agree coach. Like all things sometimes you don’t know until you do it for a while. I spent about 25 years in S&C before I stopped coaching. That said I still do “some” high end work. For me it was tiring of the same questions over and over. And same problems with sport coaches.
My main goal in life and work is to have fun. I will go out of my way to have fun. I think you should try it.

My last point about this topic today. Just know most of the faces you see on this app and coaches you know will not be working in this field sooner than later. Pay attention to those who have outlasted this stat.

A lot of miserable coaches off the app too who are close to burned out and the clout left them years ago. The pool of independent trainers/coaches in your area will show you this.

The honest truth. A lot of coaches you see on this app really don’t like their jobs. Most are close to burn out, and are miserable. They’re doing it for clout and as a hobby. Be very selective who you take info from.

Reminder, you don’t need tech to get better Some of the biggest, fastest and strongest athletes ever didn’t have it. They lifted heavy, moderate & light. Jumped & sprinted. They also trained harder than most do now
