Legit question since it happened with Wayne Gretzky in Hockey: If Tom Brady does retire this offseason [or whenever he does], should the Hall of Fame waive the standard 5-year waiting period and allow him to walk in right away? He's the best QB in sports history, had best career
@NFL_DovKleiman As a big of Brady fan as their is, he’s not bigger than the game. I doubt think he would want to skip the standard 5 year airing period either even if it was offered. He would fine it insulting to many of his fellow players like Manning or Brees.
@NFL_DovKleiman He isn’t 2nd in mvp anymore, manning has 5, Rodgers has 4
@NFL_DovKleiman Mario Lemeuix was inducted into the hall of fame in 1997 and played his last NHL Game in 2005 it’s not a waiting period to let people consider his greatness it’s a waiting period to allow him to consider if his tank is truly empty. Tommay get bored in 2yrs and want to try again
@NFL_DovKleiman You think he still gets in after the Deflate-Gate stuff?
@NFL_DovKleiman Brady is #1 in passing yards Brady 84,520 Brees 80,358 pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_y…
@NFL_DovKleiman I believe he belongs in there easily, but no to waiving the requirement. Make sure he stays retired first.
