It doesn’t cost these companies $31 to process a late payment. And my Administration is working to cut most of those fees to $8.

You might know that as a Senator, I rode the train back and forth between Washington and Wilmington nearly every day for 36 years.
I made thousands of trips, seeing this tunnel behind me thousands of times.
It needs an upgrade. And under my Administration, it's getting one.
Like infrastructure projects cropping up across America, the Frederick Douglass Tunnel project will lead to construction jobs.
More than 20,000 of them to be exact.
These are good jobs you can raise a family on and most don’t require a college degree.
The Baltimore and Potomac Tunnel is nearly 150 years old – that's Civil War era.
Not only will funding from our infrastructure law fully replace it, we're naming the new one after Frederick Douglass who boarded a train to freedom right here in Baltimore.

It’s about good jobs.
And, folks, it’s about damn time we’re doing it.

That's why today I'm in Maryland kicking off the replacement of a 150-year-old rail tunnel.
I like to say that starting a small business is an act of hope.
Well, over the last two years, more than 10 million people have applied to start one.
That's a lot of hope in the future of this country.
