Yes, you’re reading that right. Study sees booster dose giving 95.6% RR reduction versus a control *of 2 doses*

I don’t know what the process is for a vaccine company to say: “You know, we were wrong. It’s actually a three dose vaccine.” But it feels like they should work that out.
@PaulMainwood @JohnWithers1 Didn't they say this last time about 2
@PaulMainwood Sounds like this really will be the game-changer we have all been waiting for. Bring on the boosters and we might be close to normal next year with a bit of luck and no vaccine dodging variants
@PaulMainwood Time to end the six months wait nonsense. The sooner we get everyone a third dose the better.
@PaulMainwood Any work on effects of Moderna booster to Pfizer first doses?
@PaulMainwood @harrytlambert I really don't understand why the UK booster roll-out is not being assigned more urgency and impetus.
@PaulMainwood what is the follow up period? Remember how the original trials reported 95% results? We know Pfizer works really well in the short term. We do not know yet how long the third dose will last (but, my guess is that effectiveness vs infection will decline)
@PaulMainwood But what do you think?... x.com/carbo_marco79/…

@PaulMainwood But howblong do these nAbs last for (another 6 months?), and do they have any affect on underlying immune memory?
