Today, I testified in front of @EdWorkforceCmte in hopes of helping to architect what our country so desperately needs: A #highered system that connects a diverse population of individuals with the opportunities of the 21st century, w/o bankrupting students or taxpayers. (1/3)
While our #goals may have remained the same, the progression of history and technology means that the policies we need to achieve those goals must evolve. We cannot let nostalgia impede progress, lest our actions propagate privilege rather than the #AmericanDream. (2/3)
@Pulsipher_WGU @EdWorkforceCmte Well done. Don’t know if you remember me, but we served on the Workforce Policy Advisory Board in DC a couple years ago. As a fellow disrupter of higher education, I appreciate all you are doing to transform higher ed!
@Pulsipher_WGU @EdWorkforceCmte Well done @Pulsipher_WGU! Many hopes there were ears and hearts open in the room.
@Pulsipher_WGU There still needs to be action on student loan debt. It's great to see so many higher ed leaders speak up about the issues in the sector. Not only will this continue to bring awareness to these issues, but will also bring about change to a very broken system.
@Pulsipher_WGU @EdWorkforceCmte Did you tell them you continue to charge student once they have completed your academy? I’m out $1800.00. May not be a lot to you, but it’s a lot to me!
