House letter, 11/30/22: "We write to urge..NIH..to respond to..longstanding requests to provide..information related to..origins of..COVID-19.., including matters related to..grant to EcoHealth Alliance and subgrant to..Wuhan Institute of Virology" republicans-energycommerce.house.gov/wp-content/upl…
"NIH’s persistent lack of transparency with members of its authorizing committee of jurisdiction is troubling."
"According to its mission statement, a goal of the..NIH) is 'to exemplify..the highest level of..public accountability.' However, given the overall lack of adequate responsiveness to our oversight letters, the NIH is falling short of the goal set forth in its mission statement."
"Between March 18, 2021 through October 31, 2022, we sent a total of twelve letters requesting information from NIH that have gone largely unanswered related to the origins of COVID-19 and NIH’s grant to EcoHealth Alliance, and three other topics."
"We urge you to provide written responses to our longstanding requests from these letters immediately, but no later than December 16, 2022."
"Furthermore, this letter serves as a formal request to preserve all existing and future records and materials in your agency’s possession relating to the topics addressed in this letter [in preparation for subpoenas and hearings in 2023]"
@R_H_Ebright Already in 2020 the management of NIH and NIAID should have been suspended and a criminal investigation started. By now the involved have had three years to delete the evidence where possible. It seems like they have been protected somehow!
@R_H_Ebright NIH’s failure to respond to these letters is indefensible.
@R_H_Ebright What's amazing is how these guys can live with themselves. Is there any other screw up in human history so terrible? Only whoever in China ordered making this virus.
