There's already been a 22% increase in public school funding since the last biennium and that's not including property tax cuts from SB2 that's being passed back to the taxpayers! The news is we’re changing the budget culture in funding Texas public education and paying for…
Despite assurances from our elected reps for mths that pub ed would receive funding in the Oct session, it is not on @GovAbbott’s agenda. School districts are making budgeting and programming decisions NOW for next year. @ManoForStateRep @TeamBettencourt @joanhuffman @LaceyHullTx

We are not even close to an all-time high in @SBISD or #txed. Funding formulas are still broken and #txlege won’t use excess to increase basic allotment, so I have to figure out how to cut 50M of 340M budget. If I could keep (some) of $84M* recapture that’d help. (*most recent #)
