@LaMikeBlack Based on?? Why wouldn’t you want DL to bring in his own guy? Especially at a coordinator position.
@ScOhana_Mike We hire an OC who’s a buddy hire, hasn’t called plays, the offenses he’s been apart of haven’t been great, his QBs haven’t gotten better for working with him, and it should’ve been warning enough FSU fans were happy to see him go
@LaMikeBlack How were B-Mac’s offenses that he coordinated? Did those QBs get better? Didn’t he get demoted because the offense was so shitty? Also, football has been a buddy-hire system forever. NFL or CFB.
@ScOhana_Mike I’m not saying BMac would’ve been a great hire. I think both aren’t gonna be elite coordinators but BMac is a better recruiter if that’s what you’re going for. Also BMac was promising enough to even be allowed to call plays and even been interim HC twice, Dillingham hasn’t been
@LaMikeBlack So because someone gave BMac a shot and failed is a reason he should have been kept on? That makes no sense. Getting the interim tag for one game cause MC bailed is not an indication of anything. He seems like a good dude, but there is nothing notable that separates KD for BM.
@ScOhana_Mike I’m not saying I wanted BMac. I’m saying Dillingham was an even worse hire. At least with BMac it helps keep our class together
@bigface247 @ScOhana_Mike I just don’t think it was the right hire. Oregons a top flight program we shouldn’t have to be guys first opportunity we should be willing to go get a top guy and pull him away from a job. Dillingham may succeed and I hope he does
@LaMikeBlack @bigface247 Then you feel that way about Dan Lanning too? It’s his first shot…..and it’s at a position higher than OC/DC. Notre Dame hired Marcus Freeman as a first time HC. First time does not equal “bad hire”. If anything, it lets guys be themselves.
@ScOhana_Mike @bigface247 Okay but that’s also not the only reason I stated. First time along with offenses that haven’t been great, QBs that have not improved, etc is my concern
