One of my favorite parts of touring the Plains every year is finding small town hidden gems. Smokin Dick's BBQ in Post, TX fits that bill. Super sweet couple making incredible barbecue in the shadow of the Caprock. Perfectly cooked meats and amazing sides. A must stop!

Didn’t see much today in southern KS but was nice to get the rust off ahead of a busy season. We did find some incredible authentic Mexican food at a little taco truck in Arkansas City called Yoly’s Tacos y Mas. Awesome salsas, quesabirria, and more; a must stop if in the area.

New feature on the SPC Mesoanalysis page: Mesoanalysis hodographs! Double click anywhere on the map to bring up the table with environment parameters and climo tables and it’s the last tab. There must be 100 MUCAPE for the hodographs to plot.
I was admiring my new snail and my fish was a bit jealous. He was in my face like “look at me!” I don’t generally name my fish. In college, if I named them they died. Today I’ve decided the snail is Goldilocks and the betta is Bear. If they die, it is because I named them.
